Premier Tech is seeking to expand its team by adding a Light Machinery Operator-Forklift at its Mattaponi facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of a team that ensures the right raw materials, ingredients and packaging processes are respected while working safely, efficiently and within the quality standards.

This position offers variety, training and physical activity. You will also have the opportunity to operate both mobile and production equipment while growing your career with a company that is over 100 years old.

Your future role

• Assisting with the operation of the facility; manual labour and operating a forklift.
• Working inside and outside of the facility moving palletized material
• Observing safe material loading, handling, and unloading methods
• Being an active participant in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the facility
• Completing paperwork — as required
• Working safely every day, along with keeping the safety of others at the forefront

Required skills:

• Previous forklift experience
• Physical ability to safely climb in and out of equipment, sit for long periods of time, and work in varying weather conditions
• Ability to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment and contributing to the goals of the team
• Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine maintenance including lubricating, fuelling, and cleaning
