Confiz is seeking a skilled Shopify App Engineer to join our product engineering team. This role focuses on building and maintaining custom Shopify applications, integrating third-party APIs, and developing scalable backend solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Shopify’s ecosystem, including custom app development, payment integrations, and subscription-based systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain custom Shopify apps using modern backend technologies (preferably Python).

Implement and manage API integrations with Shopify and third-party services.

Build and optimize subscription-based systems and auto-pay solutions.

Integrate and configure payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, CyberSource etc.).

Customize Shopify storefronts using Liquid and tools like Shogun (nice to have).

Collaborate with analytics teams to support Google Analytics tracking and reporting.

Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of Shopify apps.

Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:

3+ years of experience working with Shopify or in eCommerce application development.

Prior experience in building or maintaining Shopify apps in production environments.

Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or similar) is a plus.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
