Software Engineer - V

Confiz is seeking a senior level Full Stack Software Engineer to join our growing team in Mexico. This is an exciting opportunity to work on full-cycle software development projects for global clients, contributing to the design, development, and deployment of scalable web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build solutions that enhance both user experience and the technical infrastructure across the LATAM region.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and documentation of enterprise-level software applications.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, and QA engineers, to define and deliver technical solutions.

• Conduct data analysis to inform design decisions and optimize system performance.

• Provide on-call support during business hours as needed for critical issues and deployments.

• Champion software engineering best practices, including code reviews, test automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).

• Contribute to architectural discussions and help evolve systems toward microservices and cloud-native patterns.

• Support and enhance DevOps pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring tools.

• Mentor junior team members and promote a collaborative team culture.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend development and systems architecture.

• Expertise in Java and the Spring Boot framework.

• Strong experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and working within microservices architectures.

• Hands-on experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka or AWS SQS.

• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), including services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, and RDS.

• Experience deploying and managing applications using Kubernetes.

• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, or similar.

• In-depth knowledge of test automation strategies (unit, integration, regression, load testing).

• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.

• Experience with logging and monitoring tools, such as New Relic, Splunk, or similar.

• Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
