Part time Faculty: Reference and Instruction Librarian


Lakeland Community College invites qualified candidates to submit their application for an available Reference and Instruction Librarian position. This adjunct faculty position, under the supervision of the Library Department Chair, provides library instructional and reference services to the college community with a focus on teaching information literacy skills and concepts.

Education/Training and Experience

Required:  ALA accredited Master’s degree in library science or information science.

Preferred: Reference, teaching, and academic library experience; experience as a two-year college reference librarian.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

COMPENSATION: This is a part-time faculty position, 18 - 20 hours a week, with a rate of $29.75/hour.  Although part-time librarian schedules are typically set for a full semester, applicants must be able to work flexible hours.
