The Cashier Coordinator will receive, record, and arrange for the deposit of funds received by the College.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive and record payments for college services, including registration payments received in person, by phone, and via mai,l and enter into a computerized financial database; check accounts for accuracy and any holds in place.
- Perform miscellaneous services for students and employees, including cashing checks, while providing excellent customer service.
- Make daily deposits, ensuring all receipts balance for the day; close the office at the end of the day in accordance with security requirements; scan end-of-day reports
- Records and processes box office sales and balances box office receipts; puts together staffing schedule for the box office.
- Disperse petty cash in accordance with College policy and procedures; process petty cash reimbursement.
- Answer questions regarding accounts, financial aid status, student tax forms, and College policy.
- Provide assistance to Accounts Receivable regarding collection files and other duties as assigned.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education/Training and Experience Required/Preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent and two years of general clerical experience required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities, is acceptable
B. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment; basic mathematics
- Skills in following oral and written instructions; performing calculations and balancing cash receipts and college funds
- Abilities to operate standard office and accounting equipment; perform routine and detailed tasks in an accurate and efficient manner; maintain effective interpersonal working relationships; work independently
C. Physical Activity Level
- Sedentary - Stand often, sit sometimes, lift up to 10 lbs.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- This is a full-time, continuing staff position with an hourly salary at grade 7A of the staff salary schedule.
- Campus business hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Hours may include weekend hours for the box office.
- Please note: The final offer for the successful candidate is targeted to fall within this range but will be based upon an assessment of internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications in relation to the minimum and/or preferred job requirement(s).
