Confiz LLC is seeking a Senior Engineer (SQL Developer) with 7-10 years of experience to design, optimize, and maintain high-performance SQL databases, ensuring data integrity and security. Ideal candidates will have strong SQL expertise, experience preferably in the retail domain, and proficiency in cloud-based solutions and ETL processes, with Java experience being a significant plus
Responsibilities
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable SQL databases, queries, and stored procedures.
- Collaborate with developers and analysts to ensure seamless integration between databases and applications.
- Monitor and analyze database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or issues.
- Implement and maintain data security, backup, and recovery strategies to protect critical information.
- Perform data quality checks and ensure data integrity across systems.
- Participate in database migrations and upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Work in a dynamic environment to meet evolving business requirements and priorities.
- Experience with Java is a plus.
Requirements:
- Strong expertise in SQL Server (or similar RDBMS) and proficiency in writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Proficiency in database design, normalization, and data modeling.
- Knowledge of performance tuning techniques and query optimization.
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS) is a plus.
- Experience with ETL processes and tools (e.g., SSIS, or similar) is a plus.
- Experience with scripting like PowerShell, Python etc is a plus.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of data security standards and compliance requirements
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
