This role reports to the Executive Director and will transition to our new home in Belle River, Lakeshore.
About the Role
As Director of Care, you’ll:
- Lead and support a skilled nursing team in delivering high-quality, personalized care
- Ensure compliance with Ontario’s long-term care legislation and professional standards
- Drive continuous quality improvement through leadership, education, and innovation
- Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Manage budgets, staffing, and department operations with care and efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Nurse in good standing (CNO or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year as an RN in long-term care + 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven ability to lead with compassion, integrity, and collaboration
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and resident rights
- Familiarity with RAI-MDS (AIS certification required within 1 year)
- Commitment to creating a safe, respectful, inclusive environment
