Position Overview

Volunteering at Perth Community Care Centre is more than checking off hours—it’s about connection, community, and compassion. You’ll work closely with our team and residents, gaining valuable skills and making a positive impact. Plus, we’ll help you find a volunteer schedule that fits your lifestyle.

Roles and Responsibilities

Depending on your interests and availability, you may:

• Spend time with residents by chatting, reading, or playing games
• Assist with recreation programs like arts & crafts, music, or special events
• Helping during meal times
• Support environmental services through light cleaning, organizing, or gardening
• Use your tech skills to help residents explore the internet
• Be a friendly, familiar face that brightens someone’s day

Requirements

• Attend an interview to determine eligibility
• A 2-Step TB Test within the last 6 months
• Volunteers over age 18 will need a Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Volunteers under 18 years old will require an original letter from the Principle/Teacher/Guidance Counsellor
• Must submit at least two references
• Sign homes Code of Conduct
