Team Lead (Java) - Principal Software Engineer

Confiz is seeking skilled Senior Backend Engineers (Java) with 5+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to lead a team, deliver bug-free features, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and ensure timely project delivery. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of backend architecture, proactively resolves blockers, and contributes to technical excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
• Ensure secure and efficient data handling with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and authentication frameworks like OAuth/OpenID Connect.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using cloud-based or on-prem solutions.
• Troubleshoot critical production issues with urgency, ensuring system stability.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Drive continuous improvements in backend efficiency, performance, and security.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development (JRE, JVM, JDK, SE/EE).
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Proficiency in GitHub, Maven/Gradle, and cloud design patterns.
• Experience with event-driven development (EDD), messaging frameworks, and monitoring tools (New Relic, ELK, Splunk).
• Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Memcached).
• Strong analytical and debugging skills with expertise in scaling applications.
• Agile/Scrum experience and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with frontend technologies (React/Angular) for seamless collaboration is a plus.
• Background in performance tuning, memory optimization, and security best practices is a plus.
• Exposure to iterative development and large-scale enterprise applications is a plus.
