Full-time Supervisory/Professional (Noncontinuing): Nurse Expansion Grant Manager

The Nurse Expansion Grant Manager is a 3-year grant funded position reporting to the Dean for Health Technologies beginning June 2, 2025 and ending May 1, 2028. All duties are performed under the general supervision of the Dean for Health Technologies. This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday on the college campus (not remote eligible) from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with some occasional evening hours.
This position is responsible for coordinating, leading, mentoring, and monitoring all grant-awarded nursing student participants to maintain budget and scholarship award and accounting, to report grant deliverables, to prepare reports throughout the year, and in collaborating with faculty, staff, counselors and health care employers to ensure optimum student support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains ongoing communication and support in person and via other communication modalities with every enrolled student while a student and after graduation and employment throughout the grant period.
- Connects student participants to personal, academic, and career support services
- Manages the student participant application and intake process
- Collaborates with faculty and essential staff administrators to ensure students are progressing within their respective programs, attaining program completion and certification
- Works collaboratively with grant lead, faculty and essential staff administrators to facilitate development of relationships with employers, identifying their workforce needs and preparing students to fill those needs
- Maintains all necessary paperwork, data, scheduled report cycles, and case files to ensure outcomes are achieved for each participant
- Coaches students on nursing career planning, job readiness, search and placement, including resume writing, interview skills, personal pitch, job readiness skills and all other topics relevant to the job search, readiness and retention in the nursing profession
- Communicates to students and alumni opportunities, services, activities and resources that will benefit academic and career outcomes
- Engages students who show signs of withdrawal, academic performance challenges, or personal challenges through coaching methods and/or student resource connections.
- Provides ongoing management to increase retention and success of enrolled students and employed alumni
- Tracks job retention, job satisfaction, additional training of students and alumni on a monthly basis for one year or more
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training and Experience Required/Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Significant related experience may substitute for education
- An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities is acceptable.
- Experience in nursing or other related health care fields
- Experience advising, coaching under-represented students
- Preferred: prior grant management experience

- Demonstrated intermediate Banner System skills (or equivalent program)

- Work within the allocated budget and prepare monthly budget reports as requested
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a 12-month, full-time, exempt, noncontinuing supervisory/professional position. The annual salary is at grade 3 of the Administrative and Supervisory/Professional Salary Schedule. The College takes into consideration external market competition, internal equity, and the unique educational background and work experiences of each potential employee when making offers of employment.
