We are seeking a full-time Corporate Tax Assistant for our home office in Franklin. The Tax Assistant works in a department of four and reports to the Tax Manager. The core responsibilities for this position are:

  • Multistate payroll taxes setup for new hires and review of related data
  • New hire reporting to national database
  • Weekly reporting of electronic tax payments to A/P
  • File corporate annual report tax returns
  • Report unclaimed property to appropriate state
  • Complete monthly tax payment detail for subsidiaries
  • Complete monthly state income and franchise tax detail
  • Complete monthly multistate sales tax reconciliation
  • Complete monthly federal, state and local payroll tax reconciliation
  • Scan and save all tax forms for new hires
  • Assist with sales tax returns monthly filings
  • Assist with state unemployment return quarterly filings

 

Minimum requirements:

  • An Associate’s Degree in Accounting or minimum 2-3 year’s relevant experience in taxes or related accounting support work (A/P, A/R, P/R) 
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accuracy
  • Self-directed work ethic while working in a team environment.
  • Ability to confidentially handle confidential and sensitive business information.

Job Duties

  • Manage component and piece goods materials procurement for Oxxford Clothes, including inventory, cost management, supplier negotiations, purchasing, and supplier performance management
  • Evaluate, analyze, and report in order to support operations processes and communication, supplier performance management, and order data management
  • Maintain and report inventory control; manage supported stock availability
  • Work closely with Operations Manager and members of the Oxxford’s administrative team to ensure that pre-production process occurs in a timely manner and to specification through the programs established for each team
  • Proactively follow up with supplies, customers, and sales reps with professional and customer-friendly correspondence
  • Prepare daily status reports necessary for production, customer service, and sales force
  • Track and document goods that are received utilizing Oxxford Clothes’ processing system
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by manager


Job Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must possess industry-specific knowledge of the apparel business

Job Summary
Ensuring that we meet all service and quality expectations with each alteration; shipping by the promise date.

Job Duties

  • Respond to all email and phone correspondence concerning alteration requests
  • Coordinate daily shipment of alterations in a timely manner
  • Manage daily alteration data entry
  • Prepare daily alteration status reports necessary for customer service and sales force
  • Collaborate with Master Tailor to review photos and determine the alterations necessary to improve fit
  • Track alterations that are sent to coat and pant shops
  • Manage correct/appropriate pricing based on the make of the garment
  • Determine appropriate dating and scheduling of alterations; assist with daily received/shipped confirmations
  • Collaborate with accounting personnel on accurate invoicing of alterations and shipping charges
  • Document alterations performed onto original special order hard copies
  • Update new measurements/specifications in system for future reference
  • Follow up with sales associates whenever questions arise, for missing paperwork, and/or photos
  • Order additional fabrics, linings, and patterns necessary to replace component in garments
  • Document and release remakes via email
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by manager

Job Requirements

  • Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess the ability to use job related hand tools (stapler, scissors, needle/thread, pins, tailors chalk, etc.)
